"It
is our mission to join God's transforming mission. We will
form
our children, our young people, and our adult members, through prayer,
worship and scripture, to become followers of Christ, that we might
discern where God is carrying out this mission in our world.
And
we will send our people to serve with Christ, inviting everyone and all
of creation to share in the just reign of God."

The
Mission Commission's purpose is to oversee the outreach missions of the
Parish, among which is guiding the Parish in the collection and
disbursal of mission funds. This includes advocating for some
items to be part of the Annual Budget (Operating Account) - The
Protestant Chaplaincy at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital, Episcopal Divinity
School and Episcopal City Mission - and designating recipients for the
Lenten and Advent mailings. The Commission also continues to
support local charitable organizations with our Sunday morning Coffee
Hours.
April's Coffee Hour donations
are supporting the work of Lazarus House located in Lawrence and
celebrating its 25th year in service! "Lazarus
House, Inc. is a spiritually based organization that welcomes all in
the name of God. It provides a continuum of care encompassing, but not
limited to food, shelter, clothing, advocacy, job training, medical and
dental care, a listening ear, a welcoming heart, the restoration of
dignity and self respect to the poor and needy."
