Fall Book Study: An Altar in the World
Have you ever felt centered or "connected" on a walk, in your garden, or while folding laundry? Could that be a spiritual feeling, too, whether strong or vague?
Most of us can name that sensation at the summit of a mountain, or looking out over the Grand Canyon. But what about the smaller moments: misreading the GPS and ending up on a beautiful back road, sitting with pain, or simply crossing paths with a neighbor running errands?
This fall, we invite you to join our book study of A Geography of Faith: An Altar in the World by professor and former parish priest Barbara Brown Taylor, led by members of our own parish. Together, we'll go deeper, learning to see the events of daily life as opportunities to encounter God's grace and love.
When: Sunday, November 8, 15, and December 6, following 10:00 service coffee hour
Who: Open to all; no experience or advance reading required
Where: Choir room or sanctuary, depending on the date
We'd love to have you join us.
