Fellowship: Where Friendship and Faith Flourish

At Emmanuel, fellowship isn't just an add-on to our spiritual life—it's where relationships deepen, newcomers become friends, and community is built. Whether you're sharing coffee after worship, laughing over Casserole Bingo, or gathering for a festive celebration, you'll find that fellowship at Emmanuel is joyful, inclusive, and always welcoming. These are the moments where we truly become family.

Weekly Rhythms

Coffee Hour

Every Sunday after the 8:00 a.m and 10:00 a.m. services, the congregation gathers for Coffee Hour—a beloved tradition where faith and friendship meet over tea, coffee, and delicious homemade treats. This is where we catch up on each other's lives, welcome newcomers, share news about community events, and simply enjoy being together. Some Sundays Coffee Hour becomes more than an hour, as parishioners of all ages linger in conversation and connection.

During the summer months, we move outside for Lemonade on the Lawn, enjoying refreshments and each other's company in the beautiful space by Lake Quannapowitt.

Interested in hosting Coffee Hour? It's a wonderful way to serve the community and share your favorite baked goods. Contact the church office to sign up.

Annual Celebrations

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper

Before Lent begins, we gather for a festive Pancake Supper—complete with pancakes, sausage, and plenty of laughter. It's a beloved tradition that marks the transition from celebration to the reflective season of Lent.

Annual Gala & Silent Auction

Each October, Emmanuel hosts our signature fundraising event featuring wonderful food and a spirited silent auction. This elegant evening brings the community together while supporting Emmanuel's ministries and mission. From donated restaurant gift certificates to handmade treasures, the auction offers something for everyone—and the fellowship is priceless.

Holiday Celebrations

Throughout the church year, we mark special seasons with festive gatherings. From Easter celebrations to Christmas parties, these events help us celebrate the joy of our faith together.

Pride Month Celebrations

Each June, Emmanuel proudly celebrates Pride Month with special events that honor our LGBTQ+ community members and allies, embodying our commitment to radical welcome and affirmation.

Fun and Fundraising

Casserole Bingo Night

One of Emmanuel's newest events combines comfort food with friendly competition! Bring a casserole to share, play bingo, and compete for fun prizes. It's fundraising that feels like a family game night—because it is.

Wakefield Porchfest

Emmanuel proudly participated in Wakefield's Porchfest celebration, opening our beautiful grounds to the community for an afternoon of live music, local talent, and neighborhood connection. It's a perfect example of how we share our space and hospitality with our wider community.

Bowling Night at the Bowladrome

Join fellow parishioners for strikes, spares, and plenty of laughter at Wakefield's iconic Bowladrome! This fun outing brings together all ages for friendly competition and fellowship in a classic New England bowling alley. Whether you're a seasoned bowler or haven't picked up a ball in years, it's always a good time.

Community Connection

Soul Suppers

These special gatherings combine a shared meal with meaningful conversation around faith, life, and the questions that matter most. Soul Suppers create space for both fellowship and spiritual depth, bringing together food, friendship, and contemplation. It's where community dinner meets intentional dialogue, welcoming both parishioners and neighbors to tables where everyone belongs.
