Vestry and Teams
Shared Leadership at Emmanuel
At Emmanuel, we believe that the work of the church belongs to all of us. Our vestry and teams (committees) are made up of parishioners who have answered the call to serve—leading worship, caring for our community, stewarding our resources, and helping Emmanuel live out its vision as a beacon of Christ's light.

Whether you're interested in worship planning, community outreach, building maintenance, or any of the many ways we serve together, there's a place for you. We invite you to explore the opportunities below and consider where your gifts and passions might find a home.

The Vestry
Emmanuel is governed collaboratively by our rector and a vestry—a representative body of lay leaders elected by the congregation. The vestry's work includes attending to the parish's financial health, supporting existing ministries, discerning new directions for mission, and making decisions about the property and programs that serve our community.

Vestry members serve three-year terms and are elected at our Annual Meeting each January. Officers serve two-year terms. Together with our rector, the vestry strives to ensure that Emmanuel remains a vibrant, welcoming, and faithful community.
